I would like to get a stationary bike to warm up my knees before heading out into the cold air. I noticed my knees are a little more achey during my warm up in cold temps than they were in the warmer air. I like riding a stationary bike at the gym but I don't want to drive all the way there for 5 mins, even though its right up the street.

So, I'm thinking about buying a used one on craigs list if I can get rid of my elliptical. Just thought I would share.

Not a bad thought.

OR, since I have a better idea, let's do this:

Let's get together for one of our "group runs." Does anyone have a van or a truck? There's always UHaul.

So we'll get together, preferably LATE LATE night when nobody is around and we'll "run" into a closed fitness center and "borrow" their bikes, treadmills and calf raise machines, and anything else we "need." Then we'll pack them in the truck and unload them at each of our houses. Then we'll return the truck and go stretch.

It's such an economical plan!

I'm with you, and since it will be LATE LATE night, it will be cold so we should all wear a balaclava mask to keep our faces warm  . Sounds quite cost effective.

That's funny, me and Joe said the same thing earlier today. Let's just keep our fingers crossed. That nothing happens that is.
