Good
I now remembered who I know that lives in Louisville, and the discussion I had with them about staying at their house for L-Town races! A friend from HS and her husband live over there someplace, and told me this summer that if I do any L-Town races, that I could stay in their guest bedroom. Awesome!

Bad
Looks like a few of the spring races I was wanted to run over yonder coincide with local races on our Grand Prix circuit (10-race series). If I decide to do the Grand Prix, I may not be able to do the Triple Crown. :(

Build us up just to let us down huh  . We see how it is  .

It's cool either way. We'd be glad to have you here, but it sounds like an interesting series, so I would understand if you wanted to do those. Maybe some other races that don't clash. None of us are going anywhere. We'll all get together for some races somewhere along the line.

Just out of curiosity, how does the Grand Prix stack up as far as distances? I've noticed you are looking to do longer than 5K races so does this series progress to longer distances as it goes?

It looks as though the majority is 5K's, but there are 2 10K's, an 8K, and a 4K. All together, it looks to be a 12-race event, thus far... But I don't see the 09 races listed online!

Come on now, those are short distance races. You mentioned in a post on RW that you really like the 1/2 Mary distance. Your time at the 5k distance is blazing fast and I'm sure you can PR that by training for longer distance races. So, with the Triple Crown you get a 5K, 10K, and a 10 Miler, all within 5 weeks. After those, you have the Flying Pig in Cincy you mentioned so it would all be part of your training.

Just my 2 cents. Not sure if it worked but I thought I would give it a shot.

Yes, but I also mentioned that my main goal before concentrating on major PR's in the HM distance was to drop my 5K time below that 20-minute mark.

FP is a for sure. And once I get the "official" listing, I'll know if TC and KDF HM are gonna happen in 09.

Just read the paper again, and it's 8/12 races that they use your placement from... So technically, I could miss a few local races to do the Triple Crown!
