Tom, I pack my bag up the night before I have to run and put it in my car that morning. That way I have no excuse. Everything I need is there so when I get off work, I don't even go home. I hop on the road and drive to the park. Otherwise, it would never get done. And actually, now it's sorta fun sometimes.

Every now and then, though, I do prefer to run around the neighborhood because it saves me 40-50 minutes of travel time.

I think that's what I'm going to do. It would probably work out better with my eating to. I get home and feel bad about the wife eating alone, so I end up eating and then running. If she knows I won't be home until after I run, then she knows to either wait 'til I get home to cook, or go ahead and eat without me, but at least I'm not heading out the door as she is sitting down to eat.

Definitely. Hopefully she'll understand. If she wants to wait on you for dinner, ask her to eat a light snack to tide her over until you get back.

Joey knows I am not about cooking dinner until I've come home, stretched and showered. Then we can eat.
