After purchasing much winter running gear over the last several weeks, I'm ready to take it on. My run on Tuesday kind of burned my lungs due to the cold air so my body still needs to adjust, but I have a neck gaiter, arm warmers, running gloves, headband, compression mock t-necks, tights, a running jacket, 3 1/4 zip pull over shirt/jacket, thick balega socks, running pants, etc.... I think I'm prepared, but I won't know until I get out there and test it!!!

My goal for winter gear was not to get too "puffy"! Does that make sense? I don't want to look like the kid from a Christmas Story and not be able to to put my arms down. I wanted compact and efficiency, while remaining warm. Part of the problem is winter running clothes are pricey!!!! I can see its going to be a huge challenge to maintain my running through the cold winter months but I love a challenge!!!! :headbang:

With temps in the 35+ range, the gear I have now is perfect.

I desperately need to pick up some gear for colder temps. I need thicker tights for sure. And some way to layer on top. I'm in the market for running gloves, too!

I recommend compression shirts as a base layer. The C9 mock t-necks do a good job of keeping you warm. Basically does the same thing to the upper body as tights do for the lower body. A good pair of running gloves is essential. It took me a few runs times to get used to them but that are great.
