I've been itching to see 3:10 to Yuma again. I forgot to add that to my list earlier. That movie is mos def one of my faves, hands down.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Though it had too much Hollywood for my likings in the genre, they were well done, and did not take away from the story. One of the better remakes I've seen.

I kind of thought they did a good job of keeping it non-Hollywood. I never saw the original so the ending was a surprise to me. Usually I can pick up on things like that but this one was unexpected.

I saw Appaloosa and was disappointed. It had some potential but I thought 3:10 to Yuma was far and away the better film.

This is what I was afraid of. I haven't seen it yet but both Joey and I want to. I just assumed it wouldn't be GREAT.

I was hoping someone else would've brought this one up, but since they didn't... Pride & Prejudice. IMO, the movie was done incredibly, from start to finish, and portrayed both the book's story and feel very well. IMO, the modern day "Gone with the Wind". (the movie, that is...)

Another one along the same lines would be Memoirs of a Geisha. There were some incredibly artistic scenes in that movie.

I saw Memoirs, but never saw Pride and Prejudice. I watched Mister Foe this weekend and I would recommend it for those looking for something different. I think Jamie Bell is a great young actor. I also watched the 1st disc of John Adams. So far, its excellent but I will wait until I watch the entire film before I give my final thoughts.
