Anyone planning a diet change in the months leading up to the mini?

I've been contemplating this for a few months, and I'm not sure what I think is the proper thing.

My first thought was that I would improve my diet in the months leading up to the mini, mainly to see HOW it would effect my performance and even my body, inside and out. I wanted to get strict with it.

Now I'm starting to second guess this method, thinking that changing my diet is an unnecessary challenge that I might not be willing to take on. I know I CAN do it, but I'm not sure I want to.

Currently, I eat well enough--just need to cut out more saturated fat and maybe cater my diet a little bit more. Less sugar too. But I don't feel like I have any particular issue with my diet and I'm wondering if any possible benefit will be worth the effort. Thoughts? Anyone else have this thought?

My thought is, if its not affecting your performance now I wouldn't change it. Especially since you eat well enough as it is.

I just wonder how it COULD change my performance if I try harder. You know, avoid that pumpkin spice milkshake at Culver's once a week...

I know cutting out those fats and sweets would definitely help my physique, which definitely helps the running--we can all vouch for that if we've had any weight loss. When I lost 20 pounds, I suddenly could run faster, farther and with less pain in various parts of my body. If I could cut another 5-10, that could be even better.

But again, I'm not sure I am willing to give up those shakes or Moons Over MyHeinys.

I just need to quit cheating. I would like to get my body weight down some more. I think my knees would appreciate it.

I know, Tom. I always feel bad when I cheat on my brownies with a slice of cheesecake.

I had another full D'Giorno (sp?) this evening, and then brownies and Ice Cream after that. Not good choices.

Was it low-fat ice cream? If so, I'm just as guilty, I've been tearing it up all day.

I usually can't eat enough on Saturdays!!! But today, I haven't eaten enough. :(

I think that's just as bad as NOT eating. :(

Yes, half the fat, but I probably ate at least 2-3 servings.

I DID have the best peanut butter, banana and honey sandwich ever. I forgot about that until just now.

I'm actually hungry right now but I don't have a craving for anything at all. In fact, nothing sounds good.

I wouldn't go that far, just not hungry after everthing I have eaten.
