Has anyone ever used this training run? I'm wondering if it could be of use to me/us for our HM training?

How would it work for a HMer?

Overall, I'm not for the set training plans. Not because I have anything against them, its just I know I won't stick with it and instead do what my body tells me it can do. Every now and then I will print one out and swear I will stick with it but I just go back to my own thing. So far, its worked pretty well.

Well, this isn't so much a plan as it is a workout.

It's a speed workout, he believes (as do many others) that if you want to run a 2 hour 55 minute marathon, than you should be able to run 10x800 at 2 minutes 55 seconds each repeat. When you are able to do that, you will be able to run a marathon in 2:55:00.

I just wonder how or IF this works with HM distances.

It's okay, you're a man. It's hard for you all to listen when we speak. So it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to read what we type.

Did someone say something?

Just kidding.

I actually ran across this once before, but wasn't really at a point in my running where it was practical. It seems interesting though.

Yes, you and also are not capable of multi-tasking, so I don't know why I assumed you would have been able to read AND click the link. It's actually my fault, and I apologize!

I'm totally joking, by the way. I just had to give you some crap.

And Tom, you stay out of it. Now I have to be mean to both of you!!!! This is how I know I would never enjoy being a polygamist. Too much testosterone!

Speaking of unBEARable things like polygamy, have you guys signed up for the Polar Bear Grand Prix?

I still haven't but I probably should get on that.

Forget you then! [-(

I plan on doing them TO keep me on track with my training. I think it will help me get out there and run on those cold, dreary days when I don't have it in me to get up and go...because I know I have a RACE coming up. One a month for the next three months!!!

Did you just cuss me out? LOL...I'm kidding of course. I had the race bug for the longest and I know it will be back soon, but I felt my training suffered due to focusing on too many races. I don't blame you for running them at all. I love races!!!
