Last minute decision--just a 3 mile walk across 2nd street bridge!

DBF was asked by his employer to wear the company mascot's costume out there and I decided it would be fun to walk it with my mom while he was working it!

We had a blast, so many nice people out there and the weather was cool, but overcast. We had fun and I'm glad we got out and walked--and it's fun to see my mom taking care of herself and wanting to RUN! We talked about running a lot, I think I might be able to convert her very soon! I've got her into thinking about the C25K and asked if she thinks she would be ready to complete the Anthem 5K next March! How much fun it would be to see her do that!

Good way to start the weekend!

Great job!! I ran/walked a 5K downtown today with my wife. She isn't really a runner and since it is our anniversary I stayed right with her. We finished in 38:41 and had a good time. My Dr. actually finished 2nd overall amongst females, how cool is that?

I ran today in this awesome weather and I felt like I was in heaven! I haven't been feeling well enough to get out there and run and I've just felt the stress and tension building up in my shoulders and neck for the last week...it's been misery. Today, out in that beautiful weather and after a stressful day at work, I was soooo happy to get out there! It almost felt like the tension was just evaporating with every step!!

I hear ya on the weather! I went to Seneca to run after work today and it wasn't good. I did 3.52 but it was a struggle. Not enough recovery from my Sunday run I guess. I love this fall weather. The month of Sept was my best running month ever. I will post about it later.

Hey, where's your September running review?

I had another great run this morning, and actually brought my iPod with me. Other than the annoyance of the earbuds constantly falling out, I really enjoyed having some "company" out there in that cool, sunny weather!!!

Running is FUN!

The secret to the earbud is to buy the smallest binder clips you can. Take the clip and the wire where it splits into a Y and clip it to the back part of the neck of your shirt. I have a nano and an armband and run the wire up the arm on the inside of my shirt up the back. It works great. I had a major problem with that for a while and if I forget my clip, I won't use my Ipod.

I did 6.62 this morning. Very cool but I like it that way.

I had a great run yesterday. I left the house about 5:00 pm. I ran north on Green Valley road and got to watch the hot air balloons float across the sky on the way out. I have been having an issue with my right knee ever since I got the bike out, but not yesterday. I ran 8 miles at about a 10:30 pace. Man was it relaxing after all the fall fest activities Saturday and Sunday morning.

Great job! The weather has been decent but still too hot for me, my body hasn't gotten used to running in the afternoon 100% yet. Yesterday I took a rest day--I was miserable after work so I'll be out there after work today. YAY!
