Who's in the Mini for '09? For the past five or six years I've flown into Indy just for the Mini and then spend the rest of an extended w/e with my family in N.E. Indiana. I think the Indy Mini is a cool race because you get to run a lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I registered for the 2009 mini on the day of the 2008 mini.

Isn't the Derby festival usually the day after or week after the Mini? I've thought about sticking around for both. Do you get to run around Churchill Downs in the Derby Mini?

Dan

I think the Mini 500 is the same weekend as Flying Pig, so I'm not doing it this year. But it is one I'm wanting to do in the next few years, it's just that it seems to be a VERY popular weekend... FP -> Cinci... CMM -> Nashville... etc.

The KDF Mini is the weekend before and yes, you run through the infield at Churchill Downs. A few of us have already registered for the KDY Mini but I've heard the Indy Mini is amazing.

Maybe in '10. The KDF mini will be my first, and I don't think I will be up for back to back mini's just yet. I do intend to do my first full mary this year as well. I just haven't decided for sure which one it will be. I think I want to travel somewhere for it. :-k

Yeah, sometimes our mouths get ahead of our minds, or in this case my fingers get ahead of my mind.
