I might have to revisit the stick --- she makes it sound so much more...... interesting?

I was just rolling it on the muscles.

That's sorta why I'm glad I got the foam roller. When I am rolling my shins, it's still a little too hard on them but because there's a larger surface area, I can manage it. I think the stick would cause me more pain, personally!

Foam roller user. It gets the kinks out of my back better than The Stick. My brother uses The Stick but for me, the foam roller's just easier. I've named mine Moby Dick.

I'd like to know how that name came about. Perhaps I should name mine something. But mine is a female, I can tell my looking. I have a name for mine that rhymes with Moby Dick but isn't really acceptable to post here.

I have a a tendency towards anthropomorphism. Next thing to name is my watch - some running blogs I read named their Garmins. Haven't found a personality trait yet to attach to it.

My foam roller is a bit bigger than my dog and it's white. He tries to dominate it if it sits in the middle of the floor unattended. You can see a picture of him here. I think he could run a 5k if there were food every 10 feet.

I could've given it a different name but it was also a bit crude. My daughter thinks it looks like a feminine product.
