So, at the start of the month I decided to take a new approach to running. As someone who has accomplished more as a runner than I ever thought possible, I found myself constantly competing with the mileage I was doing a couple years ago only to be disappointed. What I had to come to terms with is the fact I am not the runner I was a couple years ago and I need to basically start over to be that runner again.
Moving ahead a couple weeks and I'll say this seems to be working. I've stopped worrying about what I'm capable of and started focusing on what I should and can do now. So with that said, I'm doing shorter distance runs and building from there. So far, so good....
